Japanese Knotweed: usually very bad, but sometimes good?

  1. Hey i've made the crumble and it's absolutely delicious!! Haven't heard of the carrot cake and I bet it's amazing - added that to my list.

    Did you know you can make wine from knotweed too?

    You need to make a gallon of wine:

    2kg of knotweed stems from your garden and cut cut into small chunks.
    1.5kg of sugar
    freshly squeezed juice of one orange
    yeast nutrient
    water

    Bring these ingredients to the boil before pouring over the small chunks of knotweed that you need to firstly place into a straining bag. Leave your mixture to ferment for roughly a week in somewhere safe and covered.
